Paramount Hospitality successfully turns around distressed property in Orlando.

Orlando, FL, October 29, 2010 -- Orlando's Paramount Hospitality Management, LLC – http://www.ParamountHospitality.com -- has seen tremendous gains in occupancy and revenue since taking over the management of The Point Orlando – http://www.ThePointOrlando.com.

The recent "STAR" report, created by STR Global, documented an outstanding increase in Revenue per Available Room (REVPAR), versus others in the area and in its competitive set.

Paramount Hospitality Management took over management of the condo hotel, The Point Orlando Resort, in September, 2009. At that time, the hotel had suffered from low occupancy, low Average Daily Rate and low guest rating scores.

Immediately, Marco Manzie, President of Paramount Hospitality Management, took action, leading his executive team to focus operations, service and management employees, literally over night.

The first steps in the improvement included:

  • Mandatory Guest service training sessions to all employees
  • An upscale buffet in the newly redesigned Bistro
  • Opening the Martini Bar with signature Cocktails and a Tapas menu.
  • Creating a website for the condo owners
  • Streamlining the operations in order to run more efficiently and cost effective

The STAR report shows, year to date, REVPAR (Revenue per Available Room) has increased 25.2% YTD. In September, they achieved 105.8 REVPAR Index against the Competitive set of hotels, and 110 REVPAR Index versus the Greater Orlando hotel market.

The Point Orlando exceeded revenue budget in September, 2010, and is projected to exceed revenue budgets through the end of 2010. Plus, guest review scores, as reported in TripAdvisor, have risen into the top 10, no small feat in a market as competitive as Orlando.
