Paramount Hospitality™ President, Marco Manzie, inducted into UCF Rosen Hall of Fame

Updated: Dec 10, 2019

Orlando, FL – October 16, 2019 - The Rosen College of Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida inducted Paramount Hospitality™ and Manzie Hospitality™ President and Founder, Marco Manzie, into the Rosen College Hospitality Hall of Fame on Thursday, October 10th at Rosen College.

The Rosen College Hospitality Hall of Fame is a distinguished group of hospitality and tourism industry leaders who have made a significant impact on Central Florida throughout their professional careers. Each year, UCF’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management selects two new members in consultation with its faculty members and industry advisory boards. Marco is an honored and active board member for the prestigious University of Central Florida’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management.

Because of Marco’s involvement on the board, he has developed a reputation and has become well known for his dedication. So much so, that not much more information was needed to support the nomination submission by his daughter, Brittany Manzie.

“There is no one that has more passion for the hospitality industry than my father. When he speaks about the industry, you will find his passion captivating.” – Brittany Manzie, who nominated Marco.

For more than 40 years, Marco has established himself as a savvy and innovative leader in the hospitality industry. He founded the award-winning Paramount Hospitality™ and Manzie Hospitality™ in 2001 and since its inception, has evolved the company from a third-party contract management company into an operator that today shares an equity stake. PHM has been noted for delivering overall combined capitalization rates in excess of 10%.

As President, Marco spearheads operations for all PHM projects. His hands-on approach allows him to be tapped into all aspects of the business from budgeting and repositioning to design and expansion. He combines his operational knowledge, expertise in “mixed-used” hotels, financial insight and leadership skills to bring deals to fruition seamlessly and swiftly. Marco’s economic contribution to the Orlando market is the employment of over 400 team members in the local area.

Marco’s passion for the industry captivates all as he is an acclaimed speaker on hospitality operations at numerous industry-related conferences including the Hunter Investment Conference, where he has served as a panelist and the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) where he has served as an award-winning guest speaker and panelist for several years.
