Marco Manzie Jr. is the Vice President of Operations & Business Development for Paramount Hospitality Management™ (PHM). In his position, he contributes to the overall growth of the company by developing and maintaining business relationships, offering expertise in the areas of valuation & feasibility, asset management, operational evaluation, and both marketing and revenue management analysis, while leading a dynamic management team. He assisted in the acquisition of the management contract for The Grove Resort & Water Park Orlando, an 878 all-suite, full-service, luxury, condo-resort property, The Ocoee Cambria and most recently The MB Resort a planned luxury, full-service, mixed-use project near Disney World.
With more than a decade of senior management experience, Marco has proven to be a true leader in the hospitality industry. In addition to his current position, he also served as the Director of Revenue Management for Floridays Resort Orlando, The Point Hotel & Suites, Avanti International Resort and Wyndham IDrive Resort and Conference Center, each managed by PHM.
He consistently produces long and short-term financial planning for all PHM resorts within the portfolio. His forecasting abilities have paid dividends for the company and ownership boasting 3% accuracy of actualized revenues, assisting in the operating efficiencies and the net operating profits of each resort.
Prior to his current achievements with the company, Marco was positioned in key management roles with Marriott Hotels & Resorts, including the opening of Marriott Pompano Beach Resort, a 218-room, Upper-Upscale, full-service, franchised property. During his tenure Marco was awarded Marriott’s “Spirit to Serve” award for achieving consistent, exemplary Guest Service ratings.
While growing up and living in hotels, Marco began his career learning all departmental disciplines during his adolescent years. He developed his operational skill sets by having the unique opportunity of working in various departments and positions, learning “best practices” in the field with working staff members and under the tutelage of skilled management. In addition, he complimented his working experience by pursuing his passion for the business with a formal education as a full-time hospitality student while also continuing to work as an intern in hotels.
Marco earned his Bachelor of Science degree from The Rosen School of Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida. He also earned his Revenue Management Certification from Cornell University’s School of Hospitality Management in Ithaca, New York. Currently, he sits on UCF’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management’s Alumni Student Advisory Board and is the youngest Board member on the prestigious Orlando International Drive Chamber of Commerce and The I-Drive Chamber of Commerce. Marco also has been a licensed Community Association Manager since 2022.
Marco prides himself on his involvement in the Hospitality Industry and the community and looks forward to expanding the family business. His most admired skill continues to be his unique ability to exude leadership, confidence and professionalism with compassion, intelligence, patience, humility and a level of maturity beyond his years due to his advanced, extensive, early experience, innate wisdom, dedication and commitment.
