Robert J. Haywood is a seasoned financial executive serving as our Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Information Officer (CIO). With extensive experience in strategic financial planning, risk management, information technology, all aspects of hotel operations and corporate finance, Robert has a proven track record of driving financial performance and supporting sustainable growth for organizations across diverse portfolios.

He joined Paramount Hospitality Management™ in February of 2008 as Corporate Controller, with over a decade of operational experience and another in finance. His contribution to PHM is valued in all disciplines of the industry. Robert’s primary responsibility is to oversee all aspects of the company’s financial operations that proudly yield deficient-free third-party audits by noted firms such as Ernst & Young, who complemented his best practices, which are in accordance with GAAP and the Uniform System of Accounts (USALI). He also oversees all Legal, PCI & GDPR compliance, Insurance and Information Technology /Telecommunication matters for the company, including all local, State and Federal licensing.

Robert manages these operations in both a centralized & decentralized environment for all affiliated entities including PHM, the resorts, resorts’ rental operations and the Homeowner’s Associations managed by PHM. His insightful ability in identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and related savings has consistently resulted in realizing or exceeding our financial expectations and/ or EBITDA.

 

His previous work experience with other third-party management companies was valued in both operations and finance. His abilities to make credible quick assessments quickly escalated his career into key executive roles having served as general manager, area director of operations and corporate controller. His responsibilities included single and multiple properties, including both traditional hotels, interval ownership and condo-hotels; consequently, Robert possesses vast experience with traditional hotels/ resorts, HOAs, mixed-use, full-service property operations & accounting practices and procedures.

Robert received his formal education at Valdosta State Technical College in Georgia and Valencia College. He is also a licensed Community Association Manager in the State of Florida (CAM) and a member of Central Florida Hospitality Financial & Technology Professionals (HFTP). He actively serves on the Orlando International Drive Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA). Robert is a devoted husband and loving father to their amazing daughter.
